Were you always an Artist?
No, I originally trained and worked as an Architect.
Where are you from?
I was born and raised in Blackrock, a scenic coastal suburb of Dublin, the capital of Ireland.
Why abstract art?
I took a detour out of Architecture and re-qualified with an MBA Business degree. The Degree required me to take a personality test and my scores for abstract thought were off the chart. That triggered an epiphany in me to pursue a more worthwhile career as a painter of large scale Irish abstract art.
Where do your ideas come from?
An autumn leaf falling onto a concrete path, a sideways glance over a pile of open magazines, a strip of colour framed between trucks passing on a street … You get the picture!
How do you describe yourself?
I am a painter within the tradition of large scale abstract European artwork.
How would you describe your paintings?
My work is creative abstract Irish artwork.
What price do you charge for your artwork?
From €1,000 & higher … depending on the effort, size and length of time required.
Do you accept commissions?
Yes, for me being a commissioned Irish abstract Artist is an honour.
